The Reformer

The Reformer (www.thereformer.scot ) is a fully custom-built WordPress website developed to support a high-performance political and opinion publishing platform. I designed and built a bespoke WordPress theme tailored to speed, usability, and content presentation, alongside custom plugins to extend functionality where off-the-shelf solutions were either inefficient or limiting. Several components are integrated with Elementor, allowing flexible content management while maintaining performance control at the theme and plugin level. Beyond development, I manage the entire technical stack. This includes web hosting configuration, performance optimisation, and advanced caching strategies to ensure fast load times and reliability under traffic spikes. I also handle both on-site and off-site SEO, focusing on technical SEO structure, indexing, and search visibility. The project is ongoing, with continuous development of new features, design improvements, and technical enhancements. I provide full technical support, maintenance, and design updates, ensuring the platform evolves alongside its content and audience.
